Geale lining up for title fight

Tasmanian boxer Daniel Geale is in line to fight the world middleweight champion, American Kelly Pavlik.

Geale says negotiations with Pavlik’s management have been positive and he could be travelling to the United States for a bout as soon as August.

The 29-year-old Geale says he is ready to face the powerful Ohioan.

“He is definitely the big name in the division, he’s the one they all call the number one, the big number one fighter so he is the one I want to fight and for them to be looking at us, I am pretty happy with that,” he said.

“I just want to get over there and do my business.

Geale plans to prepare for the fight with a bout against Kenyan born Kariz Kariuki in June.

Pavlik defends his world title against Argentinian Sergio Martinez in just over a week.
